Kemet Tactical Concealed Weapon Permit Class is typically once a month. The CWP class fulfills the state-required concealed weapon safety course required to obtain your concealed weapons permit. The class is typically two 1/2hr3hr—long, depending on the class size.
You are not required to bring a firearm for the practical portion of the course, as one can be provided for you; however, if you choose to use your gun, you may do so, but you will need to supply your ammunition.
You can bring paper and a pin if you want to take notes, but it’s not required.
After completing the CWP course, you will receive your certificate and application. You need to take those documents, a passport photo, a copy of your driver’s license, and a fingerprint card and mail them to the department of agriculture.
We recommend you make an appointment with the Department of Agriculture. Here you will be able to complete the application online, and they will do your fingerprint scan and take your photo. At this point, you will need to pay $97. (they accept debit or credit)
